Shareholder Hire Preference

BSNC gives hiring, promotion, training and retention preference to BSNC shareholders, shareholder descendants and shareholder spouses who meet the minimum qualifications for the job. Qualified job candidates will generally be considered in the following order: BSNC shareholders, BSNC shareholder descendants, shareholder spouses, current employees and outside candidates. The BSNC Shareholder Development department tracks and monitors the implementation of the Shareholder Hire Preference across its operations.
Please be advised that if you are a BSNC descendant applying for an open position, you must provide the full name of the BSNC shareholder you are a descendant of in the application. Failure to do so will limit the hiring manager’s ability to utilize the shareholder preference. What to Expect as a BSNC Shareholder Applicant (shareholder, shareholder descendant, shareholder spouse)
What to Expect
Below is the general process and communication you can expect to occur as a shareholder, shareholder descendant or shareholder spouse when you apply for a BSNC or subsidiary position. This process may not apply in every situation.*
Upon complete submission of an application for an open BSNC job, the shareholder, shareholder descendant or shareholder spouse applicant should receive an email notice that their application has been received.
Once received, shareholder, shareholder descendant and shareholder spouse applicants are screened to verify status and applications are reviewed to determine if they meet the minimum qualifications for the job. In cases where screening questions apply to a job posting, applicants whose answers indicate that they do not meet qualifications will be sent an immediate system notification.
If the shareholder, shareholder descendant or shareholder spouse does not meet the minimum qualifications and has not received an immediate system notification indicating that they do not qualify, they should be notified via phone call and/or email that their application has been reviewed, but they do not meet the requirements for the position.
If the shareholder, shareholder descendant or shareholder spouse meets the minimum qualifications, they should be contacted for an interview and subsequently notified about selection or non-selection for the job.
